Sure enough, every time I visit a new country with a foreign language, my silly brain switches to foreign language mode. It doesn't care that no one speaks German in many of these places..... It just comes out on it's own. I do hope it doesn't fight learning Mandarin too much!Richard in Kunminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17853718532154207383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-92086284952234073122006-12-09T06:35:00.000-08:002006-12-09T06:35:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Richard in Kunminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17853718532154207383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-56602429004855075692006-12-08T00:04:00.000-08:002006-12-08T00:04:00.000-08:00see what chance have I got - can't even spell itsee what chance have I got - can't even spell itAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-57080922266428991972006-12-08T00:03:00.000-08:002006-12-08T00:03:00.000-08:00lonnie - ditto for Newcatle, England!lonnie - ditto for Newcatle, England!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-48964203891389572062006-12-06T23:51:00.000-08:002006-12-06T23:51:00.000-08:00I am in GZ or Macau most days...The cabbies always...I am in GZ or Macau most days...The cabbies always speak the language I can't...Lonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04811849800090159151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-69113954335570174922006-12-06T14:56:00.000-08:002006-12-06T14:56:00.000-08:00Good - I'm glad someone else shares this theory, t...Good - I'm glad someone else shares this theory, that we have a little switch inside our brain which we flick from "English" to "Foreign". Whilst living in Berlin, I was once asked for directions by some French people - and I found myself almost incapable of answering them, as all I could do was translate from English to German, and then from German into French. The verb ordering went all over the place!mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08372409823804709682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25842939.post-30283573443636990902006-12-06T07:24:00.000-08:002006-12-06T07:24:00.000-08:00Je suis famous!!Je suis famous!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
